I’m Marié, pronounced with Japanese vowel sounds, like mar-ee-ayy. You can even use the Japanese R, if you’re feeling fancy. I’m winging life in San Francisco.

​I use songwriting for expression and catharsis, letting emotional truth guide my lyricism. I often explore themes of loss and yearning, whether of a specific experience or a global feeling that maybe life could have, or should have, been different somehow.

​​I blend soulful, powerful vocals with arrangement and performance that feel raw, gritty, and have structural intrigue. My music typically sits in Alt Rock/Indie Soul, but I am influenced by a variety of genres including Jazz, Celtic Folk, and Enka.
